Community Presentation Opportunity

It was my pleasure to provide a presentation to the WA State Society for Clinical Social Workers on January 15. My colleagues Marc Gilmartin, Randy Marinez, and myself presented material on the clinical implications for treating adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

About 40 area Clinical Social Workers braved the snow and freezing temperatures (not to mention standing out in the cold while the fire alarm inside the building was silenced) to hear our presentation and to engage in a lively post-presentation discussion. My part of the presentation allowed me to speak on the effects of childhood sexual abuse on development of self.

As always, I feel grateful to be able to share information about the work of Shepherd's and to provide clinical information to area professionals.
