Walk for Light
Support Shepherd's and raise awareness at our monthly walk!
Get ready... get set... it's time to walk for light!
Join us on the first Saturday of every month from April to September for a walk around Green Lake Park. In addition to enjoying the fresh air, you'll have the opportunity to meet other caring, motivated people, to support Shepherd's, and to bring positive change by helping turn the light on childhood sexual abuse!
Time: Meet us at Peet's Coffee at 9:15 a.m. and check in with Jill (you'll know her by her Turn the Light On t-shirt) to claim your free drip coffee.
We'll start walking around the lake at 9:30 (rain or shine). By 10:30, we'll be refreshed and ready for the rest of our weekend - and we'll know that we're working together to create a strong community. Join us as we walk together on the first Saturday of each month!
Place: Peet's Coffee & Tea at 6850 E. Green Lake Way North Seattle, WA 98115.
Parking: Free 4-hour parking is available in Green Lake Park's east parking lot. The lot is a few blocks from Peet's. There is also a limited amount of free 1-hour and 2-hour street parking near Peet's, as well as a pay lot.
For more information: contact Jill at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Suggested donation is $10 per adult. If you would like, you can make your donation online in advance. Children, dogs, scooters, etc. welcome! All gifts support Shepherd's services for survivors.
