More ways to donate

  • Double your gift with corporate matching
    Shepherd's is eligible for most corporate matching-gifts programs as a secular, registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN #94-306144). If you would like assistance regarding corporate matching funds, please contact Jill Armitage, our development director, at jill@shepherdstherapy.org or (206) 321-2684.
  • Give through United Way
    If Shepherd's Counseling Services is not listed by your employer in your workplace giving campaign, you can designate Shepherd's Counseling Services in the "Specific Organization" or "donor option" section of your United Way pledge form. Contact your campaign coordinator with questions if you are not sure how to do this. If you need any additional help designating Shepherd's Counseling Services in a United Way campaign, please contact Jill Armitage, our development director, at jill@shepherdstherapy.org or (206) 321-2684.
  • Combined Fund Drive for government employees
    Shepherd's Counseling Services participates in the Combined Fund Drive, the workplace giving program for government employees. If you are a Washington state or county employee, use one of these numbers to designate your gift to Shepherd's: Washington State Employees: #521549, King County and North Puget Sound Employees: #9165, City of Seattle Employees: number pending. Please encourage your co-workers to also designate their gifts to benefit the clients at Shepherd's.
  • Gifts by wills, bequests and other planned giving
    Planned gifts provide critical support for the ongoing work of Shepherd's Counseling Services and make a lasting impact in our community. If you are interested in arranging a gift of this kind for Shepherd's, please contact Jill at jill@shepherdstherapy.org or (206) 321-2684.

Tax laws for charitable gifts

Details on tax laws affecting filings for charitable gifts made from 2007 onwards can be found in IRS Publication 526: Charitable Contributions (PDF; right-click and choose "Save Target As").

Please keep thank you letters from Shepherd's Counseling Services for your records. They include the name of our organization and the date and amount of your gift to meet IRS guidelines for records of your donation. If you have lost this letter or need a replacement to verify your gift, please contact Jill Armitage at jill@shepherdstherapy.org or (206) 321-2684.
